Okay, so they aren’t really called “stuffed apples”, but damn, if you want to talk straight about decadence and privilege, desserting (is that a verb?) on these baked beauties was nothing short of everything-I’ve-dreamed-of-in-a-perfect-dessert. These two apples really and truly lived up to their reputation as forbidden fruit.

I have always loved baked apples, on their own, cored and packed to the effing hills with delicious, buttery granola. These particular apples were overfilled with a mixture of pumpkin flax granola, sliced almonds, raisins, dark chocolate, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. They were baked for ~50 min at 350 degrees and were served with vanilla whipped cream.

I’m not sure if any food has ever held my continuous attention, quite like this one did tonight. Baked apples, the new yoga asana, off the mat and on your palate.
